Christian Visibility Day

HighBeamMinistry.com

“…Live the remaining time in the flesh no longer for human desires, but for God’s will. For there has already been enough time spent in doing what the Gentiles choose to do: carrying on in unrestrained behavior, evil desires, drunkenness, orgies, carousing, and lawless idolatry. They are surprised that you don’t join them in the same flood of wild living—and they slander you. They will give an account to the one who stands ready to judge the living and the dead.” (1 Peter 4:2-5)

Wow, did Twitter ever ignite over the weekend of March 30-31, 2024! Why?

Was it because March 31, 2024, was Resurrection Sunday, the celebration of Jesus’

Resurrection from the dead, the singular event that changed the course of human history?

Nope. It was something even more spectacular and noteworthy than that.

Transgender Visibility Day.

Whoopie.

What is Transgender Visibility Day, you ask? “The International Transgender Day of Visibility (TDOV) is an annual day of recognition, celebrated around the world on March 31st, which is dedicated to celebrating the accomplishments and victories of transgender and gender-expansive people, while simultaneously raising awareness of the work that is still needed to combat discrimination and violence” (pflag.org)

According to the LGBTQ+/transgender/gender confused movement (henceforth known as the LGBTQ+ Sexually Aberrant and Gender Confused Community – LGBTQ+SAAGCC), they just don’t have enough visibility. What they really mean is the whole world doesn’t universally recognize, tolerate, accept, embrace, and celebrate the movement in totality and without any reservation. Therefore, they must strive to raise awareness of how wonderful the no-holds-barred, sexually twisted, and confused lifestyle is.

And so, March 31 is Transgender Visibility Day.

But it’s not the only day (or week or month) dedicated to LGBTQ+SAAGCC visibility and awareness. Here are the most applicable events on the GLAAD (Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation) calendar (glaad.org):

Are you keeping count? That’s 24 Days, 7 whole weeks, and 4 entire months. That’s not even counting the International LGBTQ+SAAGCC Days, Weeks, and Months.

Enough visibility for them? Evidently not, because their media partners, the Insane Stream Media, helps promote the LGBTQ+SAAGCC agenda 24/7/365.

This list of officially recognized events illustrates how desperately the LGBTQ+/Trans/Gender Confused community clamors for affirmation. Why? Biblically speaking, they know what they’re doing is wrong (John 16:8) and want to override their holy Creator’s condemnation of their unholy lifestyle choices.

And it is a choice. As a part of the human race, I know full well the things I would like to do. I’m intensely aware of the desires that drive me to satisfy them as often and in any way possible. I’ve lived it for over six decades. However, as a born-again regenerated person, I can now choose to live according to my Creator’s design, not the warped version the world once sold me and is trying to sell everyone else. This is what Peter says I’m to do now. “Live the remaining time in the flesh no longer for human desires, but for God’s will.” According to Peter, I’ve already spent enough time doing what the world, “the Gentiles,” does.

But sell the LGBTQ+SAAGCC agenda, the world will. Since the LGBTQ+SAAGCC is part of a fallen world system, the world embraces and celebrates it. It’s all a part of the “carrying on in unrestrained behavior, evil desires, drunkenness, orgies, carousing, and lawless idolatry,” Peter describes.

Not long ago, such abnormal behavior was restrained and kept hidden because the general population knew it was wrong. As a nation of Christians, the gay lifestyle was clearly unacceptable and proclaimed as outside of God’s moral boundaries. That was the 1950s to early 1960s. When the Sexual Rebellion erupted, humanity’s deepest sexual perversions came to the fore, and most of Western society followed the generational path of sin from rejection to recognition to tolerated to accepted to embraced and finally celebrated.

The LGBTQ+SAAGCC calendar of events proves we’re in the celebration phase. Instead of the hymn “Lift High The Cross” (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GbcBXYP4AlE), we have “Lift High The Pride Flag” accompanied by Lady Gaga’s “I Was Born This Way” (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4S_vclBlGZo) as an affront to God. After all, it makes sense that God would purposely create a twisted, unholy version of Himself, right?

So now we have official day, week, and month-long celebrations to raise visibility and awareness of an ungodly lifestyle or mental illness. Everybody is encouraged to take part in the celebration. The movement has gained so much worldly momentum that the LGBTQ+SAAGCC crowd and their supporters are surprised that some refuse to participate. Again, Peter nails it. “They are surprised that you don’t join them in the same flood of wild living.” What’s the LGBTQ+SAAGCC pushback against those who refuse to embrace and celebrate with the crowd? Per Peter, “And they slander you.”

No surprise there.

Why are Christians who refuse to go along with the LGBTQ+SAAGCC agenda slandered, especially in the media? Because we stand for the truth that the world refuses to embrace and celebrate.

And so we’re at an impasse.

We know the LGBTQ+SAAGCC movement will continue to push for visibility and universal acclamation. What should Christians do? Precisely the same thing.

As light and salt, we are to be the brightest revelation of Jesus to the world by being loving without compromising God’s standard, and thus hindering, stopping, reversing, and preventing corruption wherever and whenever we can. Being light and salt metaphorically means being involved in every aspect of our society. We need to lovingly and Jesus-ly confront the LGBTQ+SAAGCC issues in our schools, businesses, media, families, arts and entertainment, government, and yes, even the compromised churches of our day.

In other words, every day is Christian Visibility Day if we, as disciples, are faithful to Jesus. But don’t be disappointed. We’ll still get slandered. Oh well. That’s the way of the world.

When we stand against the LGBTQ+SAAGCC movement, the biggest slander we’ll face as Christians is that we’re “haters” because we won’t scream for joy and embrace their cause. Note the language in the following: “celebrating…while simultaneously raising awareness of the work that is still needed to combat discrimination and violence” (pflag.org, italics author), and “It is a day to celebrate the lives and contributions of trans people, while also drawing attention to the poverty, discrimination, and violence the community faces” (glaad.org/tdov).

The goal of the two groups (et al.) is to celebrate while standing against hate, defined as discrimination and violence.

Let me be absolutely clear. While I firmly oppose the LGBTQ+SAAGCC movement, I am not promoting nor favoring violence of any kind against an individual unless it’s self-defense. Unwarranted violence is anathema to genuine Christianity, and no, finding homosexuality wrong and gender mental illness a reason for treatment is never a reason for violence.

As for discrimination, we all discriminate. To discriminate is “to distinguish by discerning or exposing differences : to recognize or identify as separate and distinct” (merriam-webster.com). I discriminate when I refuse avocado on my burrito in favor of sour cream. Discrimination isn’t wrong in itself. It can be wrong in certain situations. But who gets to define what legitimate or unlawful discrimination is? Sadly, the Left and its LGBTQ+SAAGCC subsidiary have coopted discrimination and weaponized it against their opponents.

Are there aspects of the LGBTQ+SAAGCC philosophy and agenda I find separate and distinct from my Christian beliefs? Yes. Therefore, I discriminate against the LGBTQ+SAAGCC movement all the time when I don’t endorse, promote, or otherwise participate alongside the LGBTQ+SAAGCC proponents.

But because most Bible-embracing followers of Jesus refuse to embrace and celebrate the LGBTQ+SAAGCC movement, we’re judged as defacto guilty of discrimination in their eyes. (Funny, they never seem to have a problem with discrimination in the opposite direction. Hmm.). Thus, our reticence is the raison d’etre for their slander or attacks against Christians and Christianity, at least the Christianity that hasn’t compromised God’s word.

We’re going to be slandered. Let’s let it be for being good and godly and not for evil as God defines it, not as the LGBTQ+SAAGCC crowd does (1 Peter 3:17). Let’s not return evil for evil (1 Peter 3:9). But let’s also understand that even the good we do can and often will be perceived as evil precisely because we stand in the way of the world’s agenda.

It’s happened, is happening, and will likely increase at this time as the LGBTQ+SAAGCC participants gain momentum and more adherents, both straight, gay, mentally stable, or ill.

But take heart. At times, it will seem like a losing battle, especially right now with so many of our institutions with anti-God leaders and educational philosophies slimy with moral rot. Remember, we fight for the souls of people and our nation. Peter knows what’s at stake, “They will give an account to the one who stands ready to judge the living and the dead.” It’s better to face God now and make things right than face God later when that’s no longer possible.

So, increase your visibility. Get active in your community. Go to school board meetings or start alternative schools. Run your business honestly, openly acknowledging your commitment to Jesus and strong, godly ethical standards. Lovingly, make your case with family and friends regarding the rightness of living Jesus’ way and the wrongness of buying into the world’s way or adopting its agenda. Speak out boldly on social media. Lovingly confront compromised Christians and their leaders. Vote.

Make every day Christian Visibility Day.

By the way, as I was closing my browser just now, a Twitter post popped up promoting Gaypril: Uplifting and Celebrating Our LGBTQ+ Community (campuspride.org). Look at that. Another month seized. I guess I’ll have to add Gaypril to the above calendar.

See? They’re going for all the marbles. Get ready for the soon-to-be-minted QueerYear and the ten-year Dec-Gayed celebration: all the LGBTQ+SAAGCC, all the time.

Better yet, Lift high the cross, the love of Christ proclaim, till all the world adore His sacred name. Amen!
