The Woman and the Beast are on the Move

“I saw a woman sitting on a scarlet beast that was covered with blasphemous names and had seven heads and ten horns. The woman was dressed in purple and scarlet, adorned with gold, jewels, and pearls. She had a golden cup in her hand filled with everything detestable and with the impurities of her prostitution. On her forehead was written a name, a mystery: Babylon the Great, the Mother of Prostitutes and of the Detestable Things of the Earth.” (Revelation 17:3-5)
Where are we headed?
Only God knows.
But sometimes He gives us hints that indicate where we’re at on the prophetic highway.
I say that because I’m watching the current military operation in Iran – the operation to free the Iranian people from an evil regime, weakening it to the point where the Iranians themselves rise to free themselves from Islam’s domination.
I also say that because I’m watching the battle in our own nation – the political operation to free the citizens of the United States from the evil philosophies and political machinations and manipulations that the Left has been striving for since the 60s. The open declaration of cultural war came from President Obama’s own lips during his 2008 presidential campaign, where he promised to fundamentally transform the United States, “emphasizing the need for change in policies to support the middle class and address economic challenges” (duckduckgo.com AI assist).
Well, people can’t hide their lies for long. Soon after President Obama was elected, it became obvious that his fundamental transformation was nothing more than the implementation of Marxist solutions across the board. The middle class was undercut, and he sure did address the “economic challenges” by making them worse through ObamaCare and his Marxist policies.
Marxism defines groups into “us oppressed people” and “those oppressors,” with the political ruler wannabes siding with the oppressed to paper over their nefarious grab for power with superficial virtue. In reality, the so-called oppressors are those whom the Marxists want to remove from power so they can replace them. Therefore, the so-called oppressed groups are just useful idiots until the Marxists reign supreme. Then, once Marxism takes hold, its drive to level the playing field manifests as simply oppressing all but themselves to retain power at any cost.
In short, everyone will become equally tyrannized.
The real goal is power. Pure political, force-backed power that seeks to crush all who oppose it.
Radical Islam’s goal is similar. While Marxism manifests today as a political-cultural movement, Radical Islam manifests today (and has since its inception) as a political-religious movement, which uses their faith to force all opponents to submit (Islam means submission) and remain submitted to the Islamic rulers, the Imams.
To clarify, “Islamist” is a “person who supports Islamism, which is a political ideology advocating that Islam (or a particular interpretation of it) should play a central or governing role in society, law, politics, and/or the state — often through implementing sharia, creating an Islamic state, or prioritizing Islamic principles in public life” (grok, x.com). Understand? Islam’s goal is to play a central or governing role by imposing itself over any religious, political, or cultural system.
For the zealous Leftists of the West (Marxist, radical progressives) and the zealous Islamists around the globe, power to dominate all others is the goal. Complete, totalitarian, global domination. They are two sides of the same coin.
What I see happening right now in the world is a two-front conflict: 1) A battle between Islam and those they seek to oppress, and 2) a battle between the Marxist Left and those they seek to oppress.
Radical Islam took over Iran in 1979 and promptly clamped down on everything that didn’t submit to its authoritarian rules for “proper” behavior. I know, because I watched it unfold on television as some radicalized Iranian students took 66 United States citizens hostage and held 52 of them for over a year (444 days).
Folks, the current war between the Islamic regime didn’t start in 2026. It began in 1979, and the U.S. is finally doing what no Leftist or limp-wristed Republican president would do. Dish out payback and work to free the Iranians from their oppressors.
To be fair, the uber-Leftist president Obama and the usurping Leftist handlers of the Biden Presidency did take action with Iran. They slid the Iranian Muslim cabal tons of cash to expand their global terrorism networks and actively worked to facilitate Iran’s objective to get nuclear weapons. Why?
Useful idiot enlistment.
You see, the Leftists wanted to use the radical Islamists to accomplish by force what they couldn’t accomplish by government leverage. And the mullahs were all too willing to take the Leftists up on their offer. Look at the many U.S. soldiers killed by Iranian proxies since 1979, and the death and destruction Iran rained down on Israel and the Middle East through the same demonic groups.
However, the Islamists will not ultimately submit to anyone but themselves, and even within Islam, the various branches wrestle each other for supremacy.
On the flip side, Islamists use the Left as useful idiots. The Islamists have used the Left’s open border policies, unchecked immigration, and the ridiculous excuse of multiculturalism to seed their movement around the world even faster. All we need to do is look at how many mosques are appearing in the U.S., especially wherever the Leftists rule, either in states or smaller locales.
Leftists and Islamists use each other to advance their lust for power. They are the same by nature. Both the Left and Islamists ultimately want all humanity to submit to them and stay there under their absolute, dictatorial rule. They both think their domination is a foregone conclusion and that they have a right to rule by divine fiat. The Left’s god is themselves. Allah is the Islamists’ god (a puny, wannabe god compared to Jesus).
So, I see a two-front battle waging currently. On one hand, the freedom-loving people in the West are trying to throw off the political Left’s domination that has been growing exponentially since the 60s. The Left’s drive for dominion accelerated during the Obamanation Presidency, and the most intense manifestation of it was the outrageously cruel and dictatorial edicts slammed down on our nation during the recent flu, I mean, “COVID” epidemic.
Nice try, Leftists.
On the other hand, the same freedom-loving global movement is pushing back against Islamist expansion and its greatest existential threat to the world, the Iranian regime. Oh, but don’t worry. Turkey’s President Erdogan is jockeying for a new position as the renewed Islamic Empire leader with the smiley-faced Islamist nations like Qatar, et al, financing the Islamist global takeover.
Bible prophecy in the Book of Revelation describes a Woman who rides on a Beast (Revelation 17). I believe the Woman is the wicked, anti-God globalist system, and the Beast is the rising drive for a reborn Islamic Caliphate (Empire). With that perspective, Revelation 17’s verses seem to leap off the Bible’s page.
“The notorious prostitute who is seated on many waters. The kings of the earth committed sexual immorality with her, and those who live on the earth became drunk on the wine of her sexual immorality” (Revelation 17:1-2). This description closely aligns with the nature of the current Leftists and their lust for an anything-goes sexual standard, even if it means mutilating bodies to pursue the fantasy of gender reassignment.

Yes, the Left surely pursues everything detestable and impure, and they’re proud of it.
Furthermore, the current wicked system, personified by the anti-God Leftists, persecutes God’s people because they represent God’s presence and activity in the world: “the woman was drunk with the blood of the saints and with the blood of the witnesses to Jesus” (Revelation 17:6).
This wicked world system was riding “a scarlet beast that was covered with blasphemous names” (17:3). The Holy Spirit inspired John to draw on the prophet, Daniel’s, revelation of a final world empire that would be viciously beast-like in nature: “After this, while I was watching in the night visions, suddenly a fourth beast appeared, frightening and dreadful, and incredibly strong, with large iron teeth. It devoured and crushed, and it trampled with its feet whatever was left. It was different from all the beasts before it, and it had ten horns” (Daniel 7:7).
The Woman is riding the Beast—the global system in tandem with the Islamists—in the contest for world domination. But who the real useful idiots are will eventually be revealed.
“The ten horns you saw, and the beast, will hate the prostitute. They will make her desolate and naked, devour her flesh, and burn her up with fire” (Revelation 17:16).
That’s right. The global Left and Islam will cooperate until Islam gets the upper hand. Then the Beast will go for total global domination by turning on all competing global powers, especially the Left. Isn’t it ironic that the Leftist LGBTQ is all in on supporting “Palestine” and now Iran, and yet, those same Palestinians and Iranian Islamists would throw each LGBTQ person off a roof. Don’t these useful idiots read the news?
The Good News is that the only one who will stop the Beast and free the world is Jesus, returning as the Conquering King, to whom the world belongs because He made it (Revelation 19:11-21).
Therefore, I speculate that the current U.S. vs Iran conflict will not end Islam’s drive for global control. If Iran is freed, there will be a power vacuum, which I believe Turkey will try to fill as the head of a global Caliphate, a renewed Islamic Empire, and we will be on the cusp of Jesus’s return.
Or not. Deciphering prophecy is tricky. It gets clearer the closer we get to its fulfillment. As I say to my classes when I address prophecy, “I’ll let you know when we get there.”
But I do see the current two-sided struggle for control as part of the events that push us closer to the End and the true “fundamental transformation” of the globe:
One world, under Jesus, with liberty and justice for all.
