Minute Detail … Big Deal!

“This is what the Lord God says: Certainly, in my burning zeal I speak against the rest of the nations and all of Edom, who took my land as their own possession with wholehearted rejoicing and utter contempt so that its pastureland became plunder. Therefore, prophesy concerning Israel’s land, and say to the mountains and hills, to the ravines and valleys: This is what the Lord God says: Look, I speak in my burning zeal because you have endured the insults of the nations.’” (Ezekiel 36:5-6)

 

I must confess that when I read through the Scriptures in a year, I sometimes gloss over seemingly minute details. Those missed minute details can sometimes be a big deal.

 

And by that, I mean HUGE!

 

Take, for instance, the global pushback against the Jews living in Israel. You’ve seen it and heard it screamed in U.S. cities and the Left-soaked indoctrination institutions called Universities and Colleges:

 

“From the River to the Sea, Palestine will be free!” usually shouted with fury-crazed eyes—it’s always the eyes—spittle dribbling down shaggy beards (and not just the trans women), fists raised in the air, and bodies tensed to do battle with the hated authorities.

 

Most of these idiots have no idea what they’re demanding. Let me translate.

 

“From the Jordan River to the Mediterranean Sea, the concocted land/nation of the Palestinians will be free of Jews.” There. I fixed it for them.

 

Morons.

 

First, the historically illiterate division of this motley crew needs to learn that there never was a formal country or nation called Palestine. As I’ve written previously, the Romans renamed the province of Judaea Palestina to mock and disparage the defeated Jews after their three failed rebellions against Rome: The First Jewish Revolt (66-73 CE), the Kitos War (115-118 CE), and the Bar Kokhba Revolt (132-136 CE). The region of Palestine existed under Roman, Muslim, and British domination through the mid-1900s, when most of the nations of the world, represented by the United Nations, officially recognized the state of Israel in 1948.

 

Second, for almost 2,000 years, the region of Palestine was comprised of Jews and Arab peoples, and a smattering of others. Therefore, there were Palestinian Jews and Palestinian Arabs. The myth of the Palestinian people is a grift that stretches all the way back in history to the mid-1960s, propagated by the evil troll Yasser Arafat, who, by the way, was not from the region of Palestine, but was of Egyptian birth (born Abdel-Rahman Abdel-Raouf Arafat al-Qudwa al-Husseini on October 24, 1929, in Cairo, Egypt). But because his parents were from the region of Palestine, he claimed to be a “Palestinian” and co-opted the descriptor. He then emphasized it regarding the Arabs in the region to make them distinct from the Jews. So, the Palestinian Jews and Arabs became the Jews and Palestinians.

 

See how that propaganda worked?

 

Third, the antisemitic conga line of malcontents and useful idiots are declaring, both ignorantly and knowingly, the complete and utter ethnic cleansing of Jews from Israel so the “Palestinians” can take over the land as theirs.

 

Well, we saw what happened when Israel turned the Gaza Strip over to the “Palestinians” in 2005. According to IsraelFactCheck.com

 

  • “Israel completely withdrew from Gaza in 2005, forcibly removing ancient Jewish communities spanning millennia to give Palestinians full control—yet faced rocket attacks within weeks.”

  • The Palestinians destroyed the “functioning infrastructure, greenhouses, and international support for development projects.”

  • “Hamas democratically won the 2006 Palestinian elections but then violently overthrew the Palestinian Authority in 2007, establishing authoritarian rule.”

  • “Multiple wars occurred because Hamas chose armed confrontation over diplomatic solutions, despite Israel’s repeated offers for ceasefire agreements.”

 

And on and on…

 

For all the screams of “Palestinian genocide!” by the uninformed, propagandized, anti-Israel dimwits (pbs.org), which have now been soundly disproven by the Palestinians’ own authorities (“Gaza Health Ministry Makes Massive Blunder, Releases Health Numbers Debunking Their Own Genocide Narrative”), the “Freedom For Palestine” mob is actually calling for Jewish genocide.

 

Lord, deliver us from such idiocy.

 

I can tell you, clearly and unequivocally, who the land belongs to.

 

God.

 

Don’t believe me? Amidst the plethora of scriptures where God declares His absolute ownership of Israel’s land, there’s this verse: “This is what the Lord God says: Certainly, in my burning zeal I speak against the rest of the nations and all of Edom, who took MY LAND as their own possession with wholehearted rejoicing and utter contempt so that its pastureland became plunder” (Ezekiel 36:5, emphasis added). The Land belongs to God and no one else.

 

With one exception. That occurs in the very next verse.

 

“Therefore, prophesy concerning ISRAEL’S LAND, and say to the mountains and hills, to the ravines and valleys: This is what the Lord God says: Look, I speak in my burning zeal because you have endured the insults of the nations” (Ezekiel 36:6).

 

That’s right. Two verses, attached in context, declare clearly that the Land belongs to God and to whomever He allows to live there. That would be the people of Israel, the Jews.

 

Minute detail, big deal.

 

Selah!

 

I can’t tell you how many times I’ve read that verse and I’ve glossed over that minute juxtaposition of “MY LAND” and “ISRAEL’S LAND.”

 

That’s not to say no one else can live there. Multitudes from nations and people groups around the world live in Israel. Quite peacefully and productively, I might add. Wow! Imagine that! Jews and Arabs living side by side in peace and harmony. It really does happen, stupid River-To-The-Sea nitwits.

 

So, why the outcry and extreme pushback against Israel, especially since the horrors of Hamas’ brutal and despicable attack on southern Israel on October 7, 2023? Because it’s a spiritual battle. The protestors may think they’re battling for a righteous cause.

 

The truth is they are opposing God. They’re battling against divine authority. They hold their fists in the air in defiance of the Living God who holds the title deed to the land.

 

Silly little protestors. You have no clue Who you’re dealing with.

 

So, go ahead with your protests, ginned up by the anti-God NGOs, anti-Israel nations, and antisemitic media (like Tucker Carlson et al.). We know how it will end.

 

God wins.

 

And I will continue to stand with Israel because of God’s Word, and how much I love Israel and all of its citizens who seek Israel’s peace and prosperity.
